“Hurt people hurt people” This is true, though not right. It is a phrase used by people to justify retaliation. It is a phrase used to justify the actions of those involved in heartbreak. These actions and retaliations should not be justified. Heartbreak happens in this life. Pain comes, but it also goes. As much as pain sucks, it is unfortunately a part of our existence as human beings. The real struggle with pain is learning to let it go. Learning to cope with, and process all that has happened. Some may say it takes time, but in reality, it takes the courage to look inward and face the demons you want to avoid. It takes the ability to stare down what has caused so much pain. It takes the ability to work through it all, without stopping, and to understand that how you respond to the pain, is key. If we respond in negative ways, we will turn out to be bitter. However, when we respond in as positive a way as we can, we heal quickly, we forgive those who harmed us, and we have the ability to move on and live a fuller, happier life. The only issue with this is that we need the mental fortitude to accomplish such a feat of strength as to face our demons and strengthen ourselves. This is the challenge with humanity.
Hope. How do you kill the hope within when you know the end has come. How do you let go of something that you never wanted to let go of. How do you bring peace to yourself and be a balancing force for others. How can you move forward when your so damaged from pain and sorrow. Why is there still hope when you know its fruitless. Why is there still compassion when you know it deserves coldness. Why kindness instead of evil. Why love instead of hate. Why do you not just let go. Well, sometimes you just cant. No matter how hard you try. No matter what you do. It. Just. Wont. Leave. Its called having a huge heart, or also referred to as, a heart of gold. No matter what is thrown at you, you remain kind. No matter what harms you, you remain compassionate. No matter what, you remain hopeful for better days. Its hard, i know. It sucks, i know. Its as though you wish you could be cruel.
